Postcards from Prison: A Year in Lockdown

This is our first postcard series, sent from people in prison and those who work there - marking the first anniversary of lockdown.

EP: IC has been immersed in engaging with prison communities since before lockdown and throughout the last year. We noticed prison communities appeared to be forgotten or ignored by wider society.

In order to raise awareness of the challenges people in prison faced during the pandemic we invited them to send a message to the world. 

We want to express our thanks to everyone who contributed. 

Our hope, as ever, is to enable prison communities to share their experiences to help build awareness, open up conversations and support positive change.

To ensure anonymity of contributors we have removed any identifying information. In some cases this meant re-designing some postcards, but keeping as much as the original text as possible.
